The Department of stomatology has nine divisions: Operative Dentistry, Prosthodontic, Endodontics, Periodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Family Dentistry and Implant Center, to provide complete medical and surgical care for children and adults with dental problems. The department has 33 dental chairs, 9 beds and 1 operating rooms exclusively for oral and maxillofacial surgeries, pediatric dental surgeries as well as for handicapped patient service. As a teaching institution, the department accepts a maximum of 12 dental interns for a one-year training program and also provided a two-year general practice program for post-graduated dentist. The department continues to promote adult patient full mouth reconstruction therapy, esthetic dentistry, and the prevention of oral cancer.
