The cardiovascular division of surgical department, Koahsiung Veterans Hospital is set up by the Present Director Cheng Kwok-Kei and the first chief Kuo Su-Min in 1990. With development year by year, our surgeons on the Heart Center team perform over 400 open heart procedures and near 800 vascular procedures per year. We maintain a full-service program for the surgical correction of cardiovascular disorders on the South of Taiwan. We offer an extensive range of cardiac surgical services from repairing congenital heart defects in infants and children to perform heart transplantations and other complex procedures for high-risk adult patients.
